Bollywood is going through a rough patch. On Sunday, gunshots were fired at Tiger Shroff while he was returning from his football practice match. He was accompanied by his driver when two unknown men allegedly fired bullets at Tiger’s car. Neither Tiger nor his driver was injured in the incident, although the attack raised serious security concerns.
The accused have now been arrested. Minutes after the attack on Tiger, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly claimed responsibility for the incident. The investigation is underway, and the security of Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar has been beefed up. Tiger and Disha Patani have also been provided with additional security by Mumbai Police.
While Mumbai Police and other officials are investigating the reason behind the firing incident, another threat email has raised concerns over the safety of Bollywood celebrities and public locations in Mumbai.
On Friday, an email was sent to a school in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) area and allegedly mentioned Amitabh Bachchan and Diljit Dosanjh in connection with purported attacks. It reportedly referred to Bachchan’s Juhu residence, Jalsa, and cited October 31 and November 27 as dates associated with the alleged threats.
The message also reportedly mentioned Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming concert at Mahalaxmi Racecourse on November 27, warning of a possible attack during the event. The email allegedly contained pro-Khalistan slogans and attributed the threats to a group calling itself the ‘Khalistan National Army’. However, the authenticity of the message and its claims has not been independently verified.
The threatening email reportedly named other locations, including Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde’s office and schools. Following the alert, police and security agencies began investigating the message to establish its credibility, identify the sender and assess the potential security risks.
A search of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters, where the mayor’s office is located, reportedly found nothing suspicious. As a precautionary measure, security and surveillance were stepped up at locations mentioned in the email, including the concert venue and educational institutions.
Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the threatening email that reportedly named Amitabh Bachchan’s Mumbai residence, Jalsa, and singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming concert at Mahalaxmi Racecourse. The email remains unverified, and authorities are attempting to trace its origin.
Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi concert gets permission after security concerns
Meanwhile, singer Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi concert, which was earlier denied permission, was granted approval after multiple meetings with the organisers, Delhi Police said on Friday.
Event organiser BookMyShow Live confirmed the development and said the permissions had been “temporarily withheld” and not cancelled. It added that the October 30 event would go ahead as planned.
“It is clarified that reports suggesting that the Diljit Dosanjh AURA India Tour concert in New Delhi on 30 October being cancelled are inaccurate. Permission for the event had been temporarily withheld, not cancelled, and the two should not be confused,” BookMyShow Live said in a statement.
Meeting with Delhi Police
The organisers said that, considering the festive season and related security concerns, Delhi Police had asked them to put additional safety, traffic and crowd-management measures in place.
“BookMyShow Live had a cordial meeting with Delhi Police, presented a detailed plan and have assured Delhi Police of full compliance with all security/traffic requirements. On that basis, permission for the event has been reconsidered and issued,” the organisers said.

Amitabh Bachchan’s house was surveyed by Tiger Shroff’s attackers
According to investigations by the Mumbai Crime Branch, on the day Tiger Shroff was attacked outside Pushpa Park in Mumbai, the attackers reportedly surveyed the residences of other stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan.
After allegedly finding tight security at the actors’ homes, the attackers reportedly turned their attention to Tiger Shroff after spotting him near a football ground that he usually visits every Sunday.
