A similar incident happened at Kannur airport also

Earlier on Wednesday, security agencies had to be alerted due to the fear of a bomb in an Indigo flight going from Mumbai to Kannur.

After the plane landed at Kannur International Airport, the cabin crew found a note in the toilet dustbin, which was initially seen as being linked to a bomb threat.

Emergency action was started after receiving the note

After receiving the note, the cabin crew immediately informed Air Traffic Control (ATC) and concerned authorities. After this, an emergency alert was issued at the airport and the aircraft was taken to a separate location for detailed security check.

The plane was thoroughly examined with the help of bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs.

No danger found in investigation

No suspicious material or explosive was found from the aircraft during the search operation. Police later clarified that the note did not contain any bomb threat and was misinterpreted by the cabin crew.
