Ingredients to make Chilli Garlic Lachcha Paratha

To make this paratha you will need these things.

  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp soft butter
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • a little finely chopped coriander
  • water as per need
  • A little wheat flour for dusting
  • oil for frying paratha

First prepare paratha flour

In a large bowl, add wheat flour, maida, salt and soft butter and mix well. Now add water little by little and knead a soft dough. Apply light oil on the dough, cover it and keep it for about 10 minutes. After this, prepare big balls of dough and keep them covered for about 10 minutes.

This is how you will get waxy texture in paratha

Now take a ball and roll it thinly. Apply melted butter on the rolled dough. Sprinkle finely chopped garlic, chili flakes, green coriander, some salt and dry flour over it.

Now fold the rolled dough and give it a rectangular shape. After this, cut it into two parts and place one part on top of the other. Prepare its lacha by twisting it lightly.

Apply some dry flour on the lachha and roll it again in the shape of paratha. Keep in mind not to apply too much pressure while rolling, so that the layers of paratha remain intact.

Bake it on the pan like this

Now heat the pan and apply some oil or butter on it. Put the prepared paratha on the pan and cook on medium flame. When one side starts turning light golden, turn it. Apply oil or butter on both sides and bake the paratha until it becomes golden and crispy. Similarly, prepare parathas from the remaining balls also.

Serve with chutney

You can serve hot Chilli Garlic Lachha Paratha with your choice of chutney, curd or any other favorite dip. Its spicy and crispy taste with evening tea will give a completely different experience from plain paratha.
