In Bihar politics, Monday was not a good day for Rashtriya Janata Dal. Rashtriya Janata Dal’s famous woman leader and former Lok Sabha candidate Ritu Jaiswal joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with hundreds of her supporters. BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi gave him the membership of the party in a grand meeting organized at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state office in the capital Patna.
Along with Ritu Jaiswal, a large number of workers including former state vice president of Rashtriya Janata Dal Mahila Morcha Professor Rajmani, woman leader of Bhagalpur Seema Jaiswal, state secretary of young RJD Maya Gupta joined BJP. Many senior BJP leaders and officials including Bihar government minister Dilip Jaiswal were present at the ceremony.
The party described this program organized at the BJP state office as not just a membership campaign, but a “campaign to connect with the ideology”. During the ceremony, BJP leaders called it a sign of changing public trust in Bihar politics.

‘The public is fed up with corruption and nepotism’
BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi said in his address that the people of Bihar are now fed up with the politics of nepotism, corruption and appeasement. He claimed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the politics of development and good governance has strengthened in the country, due to which leaders and workers of various parties are joining BJP.

He said that BJP is not just a party that seeks power, but is an organization with a resolve to serve the nation. BJP workers are working to bring development to every village and connect the person standing in the last queue with the mainstream.
Speaking on the issue of women, Sanjay Saraogi said, ‘The Central Government has taken many historic decisions for the respect, safety and self-reliance of women. Steps like Ujjwala Yojana, promotion of women self-help groups, maternity schemes and increasing political participation of women have brought a big change in the society.

What will happen with the arrival of RJD leaders?
Sanjay Saraogi praised Ritu Jaiswal’s political activism and social work and said that her joining BJP will give new strength to the organization. He also targeted the opposition and said that BJP’s support base is increasing rapidly and a big change will be seen in the politics of Bihar in the coming times.

Political experts are considering this development as important from the point of view of women politics and social equations of Bihar. Especially the discussion about its impact on Mithilanchal and women vote bank has started.

Ritu Jaiswal, former RJD leader:-
Influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, nationalist thinking and development politics, he has decided to join BJP. BJP is the only party which is working honestly for the upliftment of women, the poor and every section of the society. Now my aim is to take the policies of BJP and the schemes of the Central Government to every village.
Ritu Jaiswal said, ‘She will work with full devotion and dedication to strengthen the organization and spread the ideology of the party among the people. Discussions have intensified in political circles regarding Ritu Jaiswal joining BJP. This is also being linked to the upcoming election strategy in Bihar and the increasing political competition between parties.
