Chinese President Xi Jinping may also visit New Delhi next month to participate in this grand forum. If this visit is officially decided, it will be Xi Jinping's first visit to India in the last seven years.

According to information received quoting sources, this time a huge delegation of about 400 officials may come to India along with the Chinese President. This number is more than double that of the informal summit held in Mahabalipuram in 2019, when only 200 officials came with him. Teams of Chinese diplomats and officials in major hotels in New Delhi have already started preparations regarding booking and security protocols.

India is going to host the BRICS summit on 12 and 13 September this year in the country's capital New Delhi. However, this visit of Xi Jinping has not yet been officially announced by China's Foreign Ministry.
