10 families, one bathroom and low salary! Laborers living miserable life in Noida, Brij Bhushan’s daughter Shalini raised questions
Shalini Singh Meets Noida Workers Amid Protests: Former MP Bahubali amid the angry protest of workers going on in Noida Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Shalini Singh’s daughter reached Haraula village. Here he visited the workers working in companies, especially women workers, at their homes and listened to their problems.
Seeing ten families in ten rooms and one bathroom and their living arrangements Shalini Singh Said that now the country has to be freed from this economic situation. During this, women workers told that they are not even given correct information about salary, PF and ESIC deductions issued in their names. The contractual system has shaken them.
What did the workers tell?
- The workers said that during the recent two-day strike, even when they were at home for their safety, their salaries were deducted, which is completely unjust.
- The workers alleged that they do not get proper overtime payment and are not even given leave when needed. In case of absence without prior notice, double deduction is made, due to which they are being financially exploited.
- According to the workers, in this era of inflation, where the prices of gas cylinders are continuously increasing and the school fees of children are also increasing, in the last 9-10 years their salary has been increased by only Rs 1000 to 1500, due to which it has become very difficult to maintain the family.
- Additionally, workers also shared serious problems such as poor quality food in the company canteen, being forced to walk long distances to reach the workplace, and not being able to take leave even when sick.
What did Shalini Singh say?
Shalini Singh said that this is a clear violation of the rights of the workers. He demanded the administration and concerned companies to immediately take cognizance of the problems of the workers and solve them.
