Brixton is an Austrian motorcycle brand that has been present in India since 2024. The brand has multiple models in its lineup, and last year, it unveiled its 500cc adventure tourer, the Crossfire Storr 500. Pre-bookings for the motorcycle also began earlier this year. The official price announcement and launch were expected to take place in February, but the launch appears to have been delayed for multiple reasons. According to recent reports, the Brixton Crossfire Storr 500 is now expected to launch by December this year. Ahead of its official launch, the motorcycle has also started reaching dealerships.
The video has been shared by Yogesh Khot on his Instagram page. It shows a Crossfire Storr 500 at a Brixton dealership in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. According to the post, the motorcycle is a display unit, as the official launch is yet to take place.
The motorcycle gets a rugged, adventure-ready design with a windshield, round LED headlamps, LED DRLs and Brixton branding running horizontally across the front. The front end looks tall, while the LED turn indicators are integrated into the front cowl. The shroud connecting the fuel tank to the front cowl features an irregular hexagonal design and wraps around the motorcycle’s muscular fuel tank. Brixton is also offering handguards and circular ORVMs.
The motorcycle is built around a tubular steel frame and comes with KYB upside-down forks at the front and a KYB monoshock at the rear. It gets dual-channel ABS, with twin disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear. The ABS is switchable, and the motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheels with tubeless tyres. It is a tall adventure tourer, with a seat height of 839 mm.
The Brixton Crossfire Storr 500 comes with a 5-inch TFT display featuring smartphone connectivity, traction control, a USB charging port and other features. Powering the motorcycle is a 486cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 47 bhp and 43 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. This is the same engine that powers the Crossfire 500XC.
The middleweight adventure tourer segment has been gaining popularity in India. Brands such as Royal Enfield and BMW already offer motorcycles in this category. Buyers in this segment generally look for a combination of features, distinctive styling and a punchy engine that delivers an engaging riding experience. However, Brixton will also need to keep the price competitive.
India remains a price-sensitive market. Brixton is an Austrian brand with European-sounding motorcycle names, but its motorcycles are manufactured in China. The Crossfire Storr 500 has not yet been officially launched in India and is expected to carry a starting price of around Rs. 5 lakh. Pricing could be a key factor in its market positioning, and we hope Brixton introduces the motorcycle at a competitive price. Royal Enfield is also preparing to launch their first twin-cylinder adventure tourer and everyone knows that Royal Enfield will be launching the Himalayan 750 at an aggressive price tag.
