Before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027, Mayawati's decisions regarding the organization of Bahujan Samaj Party are in constant discussion. First, younger nephew Ishaan Anand was made the national coordinator and given the responsibility of learning organization from senior leaders and now Rajaram, one of those leaders, has been given the command of the national coordinator. On the instructions of Mayawati, former Rajya Sabha MP Rajaram has been given the important responsibility of coordinating the organization at the national level.
Rajaram is among the old organizational faces of BSP. He has been a Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh twice. His second Rajya Sabha term was from 2014 to 2020. According to the parliamentary records of PRS, his attendance in Rajya Sabha during this tenure was 89 percent. Rajaram's identity is not limited to parliamentary politics only. He has been associated with the organizational work of BSP for a long time and has been handling the responsibility in the national level programs of the party.
First Ishaan got the responsibility of teaching
An important aspect of Rajaram's new role is also related to Ishaan Anand. In the national meeting of BSP held in Lucknow on 23 September, Mayawati had announced to make Ishaan Anand the national convenor. At that time the party had made it clear that the help of senior leaders Rajaram and Ramji Gautam would be taken to explain the functioning of the organization to Ishaan. On one hand, Ishaan Anand was given national level responsibility and on the other hand, an experienced leader like Rajaram was added for his political-organizational training. Now with Rajaram himself getting the responsibility of National Coordinator, his role in the party's organization has become more important.

Also got charge of four states in August
Rajaram was also given additional charge of Kerala, Gujarat and Karnataka along with Madhya Pradesh in August 2026. Now after being made the National Coordinator, he has got extensive responsibility at the organizational level. Organizational reshuffle has been going on continuously in BSP for the last few months. Changes were made in the responsibilities of many officials in June and August also. In such a situation, giving new responsibility to Rajaram at the national level has come as a link in the organizational restructuring of the party.

Along with taking Ishaan forward, there is also trust in experienced faces.
On September 23, with the decision to make Ishaan Anand the national convenor, another step to bring forward the new generation in BSP was revealed. Ishaan was not yet given the responsibility of organizational work of the states and he was asked to understand the functioning of the party from Rajaram, Ramji Gautam. A few days later, Rajaram was made the national coordinator. In such a situation, on one hand, Ishan Anand has been given a national role in the organization of BSP, while on the other hand, an experienced leader like Rajaram has been given the responsibility of important work of the organization.
Continuous changes taking place in BSP before 2027
Before the UP Assembly elections 2027, the organization of BSP is going through a phase of continuous change. Mayawati has changed the charge of several leaders in recent months and redefined the responsibilities of different states. Even before this, Rajaram had been given the responsibility of many states. Now Rajaram's role as National Coordinator will be related to creating coordination between the organizations in the states, coordinating the activities of the party and taking forward the organizational work. Rajaram's new responsibility is an important development in the ongoing organizational changes within the BSP before the 2027 elections.
