Buddha Purnima Bhog Recipe – There are some days when one feels a special urge to prepare something extraordinary. If you, too—on this coming May 1st (2026), which marks the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima—wish to celebrate, you should know that it is customary for people to prepare a variety of special dishes in their homes on this day. Many devotees, in particular, prepare *Kheer* (rice pudding) and *Puri* as a sacred offering (*Bhog*) for their beloved Laddu Gopal Ji. If you are looking for a simple yet excellent recipe for this, today we will share a quick-to-prepare *Bhog* recipe that you can easily whip up in no time.
**Ingredients for Kheer:**
* Raw Rice (Arwa Chawal)
*Milk
*Sugar
*Cardamom
*Dry Fruits
**Preparation Method:**
To prepare the *Kheer*, first wash a small amount of rice and soak it in water in a bowl.
Next, place a cooking vessel on the stove. Add a little water and milk to it, and bring the mixture to a good boil. Then, add the soaked rice to the pot and let it cook along with the boiling milk.
Once the rice begins to cook thoroughly, add the cardamom and a bay leaf (*Tej Patta*) to the pot and continue cooking.
When a delightful, golden aroma begins to emanate from the dish, heat a little ghee on a separate pan (or *Tawa*). Lightly roast the dry fruits in the ghee, then coarsely crush them and add them to the *Kheer*.
Continue cooking the dish until it reaches the desired consistency. About two minutes before you finish cooking, add the sugar to the pot. Stir well, and if the *Kheer* has become too thick, you may add a little extra milk or water to adjust the consistency while it finishes cooking.
Your delicious *Kheer* is now ready! Transfer it into a serving bowl, offer it as *Bhog* to Laddu Gopal Ji, and then distribute it among people as *Prasad* (sacred offering).
