The Aperol Spritz has become a symbol of the European summer holiday. Eurochange’s research found Naples is the best destination to visit if you love Aperol Spritz, but don’t want to splash the cash on an expensive cocktail.
With an average cost of just £1.73 (€2.00), you can happily sip on Aperol Spritz while enjoying everything else Naples has to offer. Naples is famous for having some of the best pizza in the world, as well as some truly amazing scenery.
The city buzzes with life, and it’s cobbled streets are packed with locals and tourists enjoying the nightlife as scooters zip past. Down by the harbour you can look out across the ocean and enjoy the sea breeze – or even book a ferry over to the stunning island of Capri for a day.
In the city you can wander up the narrow streets past stalls selling freshly caught seafood, and hole in the wall cafes to get to Castel Sant’Elmo.
This fortress sits atop the city and looks out over the tangled city lying below. The views are 360 degrees, encompassing the azure blue ocean, the towering Mount Vesuvius and the entirety of the city.
It makes for the perfect afternoon trip — and once you’ve soaked in the sights you can heap back for another dirt-cheap Aperol Spritz.
