Eighteen years after the last movie, the Camp Rock franchise is making its long-awaited return, and the first trailer is already taking fans on a nostalgic trip back to summer camp.
Disney has dropped the official trailer for Camp Rock 3 which reunites the Jonas brothers Joe, Nick and Kevin with the beloved franchise.
They will their roles with Joe Jonas coming back as Shane Gray, Nick Jonas as Nate Gray, Kevin Jonas as Jason Gray, while Maria Canals-Barrera is also returning as Connie. .
Set to debut on Disney+ on August 14, the film sees Connect 3 head back to ‘Camp Rock’ after being dropped as the opening act for a major reunion tour.
Determined to discover the next breakout star, Connect 3 launches a camp-wide competition, with the winner earning a coveted spot on the band’s tour.
As the contest heats up, friendships are pushed to the limit, rivalries emerge and unlikely alliances take shape.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Camp Rock without budding romances, unexpected revelations and plenty of emotionally charged musical performances.
The first look spotlights a new cast of aspiring stars while reviving the camp atmosphere, rivalries and high-stakes performances at the heart of the original movies.
New cast members joining the sequel are Sherry Cola, Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean.
The fan favourite Disney franchise began with Camp Rock in 2008 and came out with the second sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010.
