Car tips: Run AC in summer without tension! Keep your car cool like this and mileage will also be better
Car tips: Sitting inside a car parked in the sun during summer feels like sitting in a furnace. In such a situation, it becomes necessary to use AC, but at the same time there is also the concern of increasing petrol expenses. If you adopt some easy and smart methods, the cabin of the car will remain cool and the mileage will not be affected much.
1. Blow out hot air first
Instead of turning on the AC immediately after starting the car, first open all the windows and drive the car for 1-2 minutes. Due to this, the hot air inside comes out. After this, close the windows and turn on the AC, this will help in faster cooling.
2. Use recirculation mode
When the car cools down a bit, turn on the recirculation mode of the AC. It prevents the hot air from outside from coming inside and circulates only the cold air inside. This puts less load on the compressor and saves fuel.
3. Proper parking and ventilation
Always try to park the car in the shade. If you have to park in the sun, leave the window slightly open so that air flow remains maintained. Also, by using sunshade the temperature inside the car remains quite low.
4. Regular cleaning of AC filter
A dirty AC filter reduces cooling and puts extra strain on the engine. Therefore, get the filter cleaned from time to time. A clean filter improves air flow and also improves mileage.
5. Use window according to speed
It is okay to drive with the window open at low speed, but doing so on the highway reduces mileage. It is more economical to run AC at high speed with the windows closed.
By adopting these easy tips, you can enjoy a comfortable drive in summer, without spending much fuel.
