CBI inquiry ordered but family adamant on resignation, meeting Amit Shah in the evening

The issue of drug addiction is continuously gaining momentum in Punjab. Last week, Parvinder Singh Jhota, who was campaigning against drugs, was shot dead, after which there has been an upheaval in the politics of the state. The family and people have refused to cremate the body until justice is provided. At the same time, today Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also reach Mansa in Punjab and meet the victim's family. Even before their meeting, the Punjab government has recommended a CBI inquiry into the matter, but despite this the family is not ready to cremate the body.

CM Bhagwant Mann posted on social media and said, 'Accepting the demand of the family, we are handing over this case to CBI. Our fight against drug dealers is all-out. Whatever strict steps we have to take to make Punjab drug-free, we will not step back.
