CBI’s big action on Anil Ambani group, raid at 17 locations in Mumbai

Tezzbuzz Desk- The troubles of Anil Ambani led Reliance ADA Group seem to be increasing continuously. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday conducted a massive raid in Mumbai and simultaneously took action at 17 locations linked to the group. This raid has been conducted in connection with cases of alleged bank fraud and fund diversion.

Three companies on the radar of the investigating agency

CBI’s investigation is currently focused on three major companies of Reliance Group. These include Reliance Telecom Limited, Reliance Commercial Finance Limited, Reliance Home Finance Limited. The investigating agency suspects that the loans taken from banks were transferred to other companies and accounts instead of the intended purpose.

Action on the locations of directors and intermediary companies

According to CBI officials, the raids were conducted at the residences of the directors of the companies and the offices of the intermediary companies through which the funds were allegedly diverted.

During the investigation, the agency has found many important documents, digital records and evidence related to financial transactions. On the basis of these documents, the flow of money and transactions between companies will now be investigated.

Many companies were operating from the same address

Investigation has also revealed that several suspicious companies were operating from the same address. Due to this, CBI suspects that financial transactions were done by creating a network of fake companies. The agency is now trying to find out who was actually running these companies and how much money was transferred through them.

Allegation of loss of thousands of crores of rupees

According to CBI, so far seven cases have been registered against Anil Ambani Group on the basis of complaints from public sector banks and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

The alleged loss in these cases has been estimated at Rs 27,337 crore. The investigating agency is also probing in which projects the loan amount was used and whether rules were violated in it.

Arrests have already been made

Even before this, CBI had conducted search operations at 14 places in this case. During the investigation, two senior officials of Reliance Communications—D. Vishwanath, Anil Kalya were arrested on 20 April 2026. CBI alleges that both the officers were playing an important role in banking operations and fund management. At present both are in judicial custody.

More big revelations may emerge in the investigation

The current action of CBI is being considered as the biggest investigation action taken so far in this case. The agency hopes that the seized documents and digital data may lead to major revelations related to fund transfers and alleged financial irregularities. More inquiries, arrests or new legal action are expected in this case in the coming days.
