Census 2027: Teams will reach door to door with digital survey, 34
In the census to be conducted in this era of internet, teams will go door to door and collect detailed information related to the people. During this process, not only basic data but also questions related to people’s lifestyle and habits can be included.
New Delhi: Preparations for the upcoming Census 2027 have intensified in India. This time the census will not be limited to just counting the numbers, but detailed data about people’s lifestyle, facilities and everyday habits will also be collected. In the first phase, like various areas across the country, house listing work will start in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, in which about 34 questions will be asked from the families.
This process will be completed through modern digital platforms as well as traditional field surveys, so that the actual socio-economic situation of the country can be understood in a more accurate manner.
Self-calculation facility also started
The process of Census 2027 has started from April 10 with self-enumeration. Under this, citizens themselves government portal You can go to and enter information related to your home and family. After this, from April 25 to May 24, census workers will go door-to-door and collect data.
In this census, not only the population but also the daily lifestyle of the people will be collected in detail. The team will also try to understand what kind of resources people are using in modern times. Major questions asked during the survey will include-
- Home cooking method: LPG gas, pipeline gas or traditional chulha
- Food choice: Rice or grains like wheat, maize, millet
- Source of drinking water: Tap, water institution, tube well or other system
- Use of facilities like radio, TV and internet
- Availability of vehicle (car, bike etc.) at home
- Toilet and sanitation conditions
- Type of flooring in the house (plain, tile or marble)
- Marital status and other social details of the family
Haldwani Municipal Corporation area is divided into 674 blocks for census. In this area of 60 wards, one census worker will be appointed for every block. According to officials, each block with a population of around 800 people and a maximum of 200 houses will be surveyed. Employees of various departments including the education department will be involved in this process. At present, training of officers and personnel related to census is going on.
