Patna. There is great news for the people living in rural areas of Bihar. The state government is now preparing to start Aadhaar Seva Kendra in all 8053 panchayats. After the launch of these centres, villagers will not have to visit the block or district headquarters to get Aadhaar made and improvements made in it.

There will be an agreement between Panchayati Raj Department and CSC

There is a preparation to soon sign an agreement between the Panchayati Raj Department and the Common Service Center (CSC) to operate these centers at the Panchayat level. Under the scheme, Panchayati Raj Department will be responsible for providing computers and necessary equipment in Panchayat Government buildings. At the same time, the work of deployment of employees and providing services for the operation of the centers will be done by CSC. The process of CSC getting license from UIDAI for Aadhaar service is also said to be in the final stage.

64 types of facilities will be available at one place

The scope of these Panchayat level centers will not be limited to Aadhaar services only. There is a plan to provide about 64 types of government and civil services to the villagers. These also include services related to caste, income, residence, birth and death certificates. Apart from this, facilities related to revenue and land reforms like application for filing and rejection, LPC, Jamabandi information and online tax payment will also be available.

Easy to take advantage of government schemes

After the opening of the center at the Panchayat level, the villagers will not have to go far for work related to various government schemes. Work related to scholarship, Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana, amendment in ration card and pension can also be done through these centres. Apart from this, facilities like PAN card, electricity-water bill payment, banking, insurance and ticket booking will also be provided.

Fee of Rs 75 for making a new Aadhaar

A fixed fee of Rs 75 has been kept for making a new base in the Panchayat Government Building. The government has warned of action against charging more than the fixed fee. There will be a provision for charging fees for other services like passport, banking and utility bills as per the prescribed rates. This can help in recovering excess money and curbing irregularities in rural areas.
