Political rhetoric regarding next year's assembly elections has intensified in Uttar Pradesh. Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad has challenged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to contest elections from any assembly seat of Bijnor. He also targeted the Election Commission and the government.
Tezzbuzz Desk – Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) national president and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad, who came to address a public meeting in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, attacked the government and the Election Commission on three issues. Apart from giving electoral challenge to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he also raised questions on the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner and the government's methods of gathering crowd in public meetings.
Challenge to contest elections from any seat of Bijnor
In a public meeting in Hasanpur, Chandrashekhar Azad challenged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that if he has the courage then he should show it to him by contesting elections on any of the eight assembly seats in Bijnor district. He said that if he could not send the Chief Minister after defeating him in the elections, he would leave politics.
In his address, Chandrashekhar Azad also mentioned the 2022 assembly elections. He said that he had come to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's home district Gorakhpur to contest elections from his assembly seat. Although he faced defeat in that election, he showed courage to contest the election in front of the Chief Minister.
Questions raised on resignation of Chief Election Commissioner
Referring to the opposition's protest against the Election Commission, Chandrashekhar Azad said that the entire opposition is united and protesting on this issue. He raised the question as to why the Chief Election Commissioner has not resigned yet despite the protests.
He claimed that this man in blue has the power to force the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner. For this he appealed to the public to support him.
Accusations on the government for gathering crowd in public meetings
Chandrashekhar Azad made serious allegations against the government for gathering crowd in the public meetings of big leaders including Prime Minister and Chief Minister. He alleged that to gather crowd in the rallies of these leaders, people are either paid by money or pressure is put on the government employees.
He claimed that Asha workers, Anganwadi workers and women associated with self-help groups are also forced to attend public meetings. The government's stand on these allegations is not included in this news.
