Charles Leclerc Crashes Out Of Monaco Grand Prix 2026 On Lap 66, Leaves Ferrari’s Podium Hopes in Ruins

Charles Leclerc’s Monaco Grand Prix campaign ended in much disappointment as the local favourite crashed out of the race after his Ferrari hit the barriers on Lap 66. Leclerc, who has been complaining of his car’s condition over the last few days, supposedly failed to control his brakes, or there could be a problem with his tyres. His crash at the restart triggered a safety car and subsequently led to the red flag.

With 10 laps to go, the Monaco GP race has been stopped after the organisers evaluated that there are issues on the track with asphalt everywhere. Before Leclerc, Lando Norris and Max Verstappen also had a similar fate. Now that Leclerc is out of the home race after the unfortunate crash, Ferrari finds itself in a tricky situation as Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli leads the race.
