Charles Spencer shares exciting update after Prince Harry’s reported visit to Althorp House

Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, has shared a cheerful announcement just days after reports claimed that Prince Harry privately visited Althorp House, the historic Spencer family estate where Princess Diana is buried.

According to reports, Prince Harry recently traveled to the United Kingdom with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. During the visit, the family is believed to have spent time at Althorp House in Northamptonshire, the ancestral home of the Spencer family and the location of Princess Diana’s final resting place.

Princess Diana was laid to rest on a small, secluded island located in the middle of the estate’s ornamental lake following her death in 1997. The peaceful setting has long served as a private place of remembrance for members of the Spencer family and Diana’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

In his post, Spencer shared a photograph and revealed that he had made a promise to the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club earlier this year. He explained that two months ago, he and his partner, Cat, hosted members of the county cricket team for a barbecue at Althorp House. During the gathering, he jokingly promised the players that if they won the T20 Trophy, they would be invited back to the estate for a formal banquet inside the historic house.

Following the team’s championship victory, Spencer congratulated the players and confirmed that he intended to honour his promise. In his message, he praised the team’s achievement and said he looked forward to welcoming them back to Althorp for the celebratory banquet in the near future.

Although Spencer’s social media update focused on sport rather than royal matters, it came at a time when public attention remained fixed on Althorp House because of the reported visit by Prince Harry and his family. The combination of the two events renewed interest in the historic estate, which continues to hold deep personal significance for the Spencer family and for those who remember Princess Diana’s enduring legacy.
