Khajni, Gorakhpur. The Gram Chaupal organized on Friday in the Gram Panchayat Murdeva of development block Khajni proved to be an effective platform for solving public problems and promoting government schemes. The Chaupal was inaugurated by chief guest Khajni MLA Shriram Chauhan by garlanding the picture of Mother Saraswati and lighting the lamp. In the program, officials of various departments listened to the problems of the villagers and gave instructions to resolve many cases on the spot.

Motivated to take advantage of government schemes

In Chaupal, officials gave detailed information about various public welfare schemes including old age, widow and disabled pension, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Chief Minister Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Ration Card, Birth and Death Certificate, Farmer ID, Ayushman Bharat Card, MNREGA. Also, an appeal was made to the eligible beneficiaries to avail the benefits of the schemes by completing the necessary documents. The officials assured that providing the benefits of the schemes to every eligible person is the top priority of the government.

Pledge to conserve ground water, ‘One tree in mother’s name’ campaign gets boost

groundwater During the week, an oath of water conservation was administered to the villagers present in the Chaupal. Along with this, saplings were distributed to the women of self-help groups under the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign. MLA Shri Ram Chauhan gave the message of environmental protection by planting saplings at the Chaupal site and called upon people to plant as many saplings as possible.

There was also special emphasis on health and public awareness

Dr. Pradeep Tripathi of Primary Health Center Khajni informed the villagers about the importance of prevention of seasonal diseases, cleanliness and regular health checkups. He said that the health department team is committed to providing services to every village and the villagers should without hesitation tell their health related problems to the employees.

MLA Shriram Chauhan said that Gram Chaupal is an important initiative of the government, which gives villagers the opportunity to get information about various departments and solve their problems at one place. Block Development Officer Ramesh Shukla said that as per the intention of the government, the aim of the administration is to deliver the benefits of the schemes to the last person.

Block chief representative Anshu Malidhar Dubey, Gram Panchayat Secretary, Village Development Officer, officials of various departments, public representatives and a large number of villagers were present in the program. People in village Chaupal appreciated this initiative of the government and called it an effective system in public interest.
