Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday heard the problems of people from different districts of the state during the public hearing program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence Chief Sevak Sadan. During this, a large number of citizens presented issues related to roads, drinking water, electricity, health, education, land disputes and other public interests before the Chief Minister.

While instructing the concerned departments and officials of the Chief Minister’s Office, the Chief Minister said that action should be taken on priority basis on the complaints and demands received in the public hearing. He clearly said that any kind of negligence or unnecessary delay in solving the problems will not be accepted.

He directed the officers that all the complaints should be immediately forwarded to the concerned departments and resolved within the stipulated time limit. Besides, the complainants should also be given information as to what action has been taken on their complaint. The Chief Minister described public hearing programs as an important medium to establish direct communication between the government and the public. He said that through such programs the government gets real information about the problems at the ground level, which makes it easier to take effective decisions for their solutions.

He also said that the state government is working with the aim of public welfare, good governance and overall development. Extending the benefits of development schemes to remote and marginal areas is one of the priorities of the government. The Chief Minister said that officials have been instructed to ensure that the benefits of government schemes and services reach the people in a simple and time bound manner.

On this occasion, actress Himani Shivpuri also met the Chief Minister and appreciated the arrangements made for the devotees during the Chardham Yatra.
