Addressing a massive public turnout during a high-profile demonstration, the Chief Minister declared that the state administration will never tolerate any affront to the sanctity of the color saffron on the sacred soil nurtured by iconic spiritual and philosophical leaders such as Swami Vivekananda, Rishi Aurobindo, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and Swami Pranavananda. Emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward disruptive ideologies, Adhikari asserted that forces attempting to propagate divisive rhetoric from academic grounds will be decisively countered and uprooted through unified democratic and cultural resolve.
Leading the Bhagwa Samman Yatra in Kolkata
Demonstrating direct leadership, the Chief Minister personally led a vibrant and expansive three-kilometer-long “Bhagwa Samman Yatra” starting from Golpark and culminating near the 8B bus stand adjacent to Jadavpur University. Dressed in traditional saffron attire and holding a prominent saffron flag at the forefront of the massive procession, Adhikari rallied thousands of supporters who chanted patriotic and cultural slogans along the route. Upon reaching the destination outside the university gates, he addressed the gathered masses with a fierce warning, emphasizing that as the executive head of the state, he possesses the administrative and political determination to eradicate anti-national slogans from educational institutions. To reinforce cultural values and community bonding, he announced plans for a grand upcoming public gathering featuring extensive Vedic chanting and mass recitations of the Hanuman Chalisa, inviting citizens from all walks of life to participate in the multi-day spiritual program.
