Childhood Day Care Center will be built for disabled children in Mirzapur, Yogi government released the first installment of Rs 2 crore.

Mirzapur Development: Yogi government is continuously taking effective steps regarding the welfare, development and easy rehabilitation of disabled people. In this sequence, the government has given administrative and financial approval for the construction of a building of Childhood Day Care Center in Mirzapur district. The first installment of Rs 2 crore has been released in the financial year 2026-27 for the construction of this center which will be built at a total cost of Rs 328.42 lakh.

Socially empowered and self-reliant

Childhood Day Care Center will help in strengthening the facilities for better welfare and rehabilitation of disabled children. The emphasis of the Yogi government is not limited to just providing assistance to the disabled, but is also on making them socially empowered and self-reliant by providing them better facilities. In the state, childhood day care centers are being run in 18 divisional districts for the pre-school readiness of hearing impaired, mentally retarded and visually impaired children aged 3 to 7 years.

Empowerment Department and Executive Agency

The government has clarified that the construction work will be started only after receiving technical approval from the competent level. It will be the responsibility of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and the executing agency to ensure quality as per the prescribed standards and specifications in construction. Along with this, it will also be mandatory to obtain necessary statutory clearances and environmental clearance before starting construction.

Official approval letter issued

Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Joint Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Government, has issued an official approval letter in this regard to the Director, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Withdrawal and expenditure of the sanctioned amount will be done in installments as per requirement as per the prescribed financial rules.
