China may attack Taiwan in the next 5 years! Trump’s advisors made this big revelation
New Delhi: US President Donald Trump’s recent two-day visit to China was described as an attempt to reduce tensions between Washington and Beijing. It was also said to be diplomatically successful. But Trump’s close advisors feel that the reality is something else. The Republican leader’s advisors fear that China may attack Taiwan in the next five years. If this happens, it will have a big impact on the AI capability of American companies.
Xi Jinping wants to give the message ‘Taiwan is mine’
According to media reports, a Trump advisor told Axios that Chinese President Xi Jinping wants to take China to a position from where he can give a message of equality to America. According to the advisor, Xi’s aim is to show that Beijing is equal to Washington and has rights over Taiwan. He believes that this move by China can shake the global technology market. The biggest impact will be on the supply chain of AI chips.
Chip supply chain is the biggest issue
Speaking to Axios, the advisor said that after Trump’s visit to China, the issue of Taiwan will be the most discussed issue in the next five years. He admitted that economically America is not ready for this. Self-reliance in the supply chain of chips is still far away. The advisor stressed that there is no bigger issue for CEOs and the entire economy than the supply chain of chips. If Taiwan is attacked, the entire world’s chip supply may stop.
Trump’s statement increases concern in Taiwan
The thing to note is that Trump has also warned Taiwan not to declare independence. However, he clarified that there has been no change in Washington’s policy regarding Taipei. In an interview with Fox News, Trump said that he does not want war.
They want China to remain peaceful. Trump said that I do not want anyone to be free. We will have to go 9500 miles away to fight the war. I don’t want that at all. We don’t want war. If things remain as they are then China will also have no problem.
Taiwan declared itself an independent nation
It is noteworthy that after Trump’s comments, concern has increased in Taiwan. Taiwan reiterated that it is an independent nation. On the US arms sale, Taiwan’s Foreign Ministry said it shows Washington’s commitment to Taipei.
The Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that Taiwan is a sovereign and independent democratic country. It is not under the People’s Republic of China. Taiwan made it clear that it will not compromise on its sovereignty.
