The main reason for India’s concern
India remains concerned about China’s increasing role on Bangladesh’s Teesta River Project, as the Teesta River is very close to India’s highly sensitive Siliguri Corridor (Chicken Neck). The increasing reach of any third country, especially China, may raise security concerns for India, as this part connects the north-eastern parts of India with the rest of the country.
