Chris Evans has discussed his return to Avengers: Doomsday as Steve Rogers.
On July 20, Marvel dropped the official trailer of the upcoming action sci-fi which showed a glimpse of Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Evans as Steve Rogers.
Even though, the Materialists actor confirmed his retirement from the MCU in after Endgame in 2019, but he still returned leaving fans shocked with his appearance.
The 45-year-old recently attended the Fan Expo in Boston, where he spoke about his comeback to MCU.
According to Chris, he felt comfortable returning to the character. Not just that, he unveiled having this thought in mind that whenever he decides to revisit the character it will be only if something interesting comes up.
“I feel home in the role. I feel comfortable, but very precious. I care about these characters’ arcs, and wouldn’t do it unless there was an interesting one to put him in.”
Though, Evans will be playing Steve Rogers, but it is not confirmed if he is going to be the Captain America.
Many fan theories suggest that he might be playing Captain Hydra, the evil variant of Rogers, who will team up with Doctor Doom to fight the heroes of the multiverse.
Directed by the Russo brothers, Avengers: Doomsday is coming to theatres on December 18.
