Registration process
For Kedarnath Yatra, it is necessary to register first. This process is completely free and you can do it online. For registration, you will have to receive OTP from the mobile number and then fill the information of name, age and identity card. Along with this, you will have to upload your photo and ID. After successful registration, you will get an e-pass with QR code, which will have to be shown during the journey. If you want, you can also do offline registration in Haridwar, Rishikesh and Sonprayag.
How to reach Kedarnath from Delhi?
by the road: The distance from Delhi to Haridwar is approximately 220 kilometers, which can be covered in 5 to 6 hours. The distance from Haridwar to Gaurikund is approximately 240 kilometers, which takes 9 to 10 hours. Route: Rishikesh-Rudraprayag-Guptkashi.
By train or flight: You can reach Haridwar or Rishikesh by train. Go to Dehradun by flight and from there take a bus or taxi and travel further.
Ways to reach the temple
There is no direct road from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. You will have to cover a distance of 16 to 18 kilometers.

– Can use horse or palanquin.
– Helicopter service is available from Sirsi or Guptkashi.

The weather here remains cold and uncertain in April. The temperature ranges between 0 to 15 degrees Celsius during the day, while at night it can drop below zero. There may be sudden rain or snowfall, so it is important to carry warm clothes and strong shoes.
