According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), after a prolonged heat wave, convection has now developed in Delhi-NCR, which may cause thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds.

Due to rain, relief from heat is being felt in many areas. New Delhi has also received heavy rain, and the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert.

IMD officials said that there is a possibility of more rain in Delhi. A heavy rain alert has been issued, and winds can blow at a speed of 70 to 80 km per hour during the storm. Meanwhile, yellow alert has also been issued in Mumbai. Light rain may occur in Mumbai, Ratnagiri and Raigarh in the next three hours.

IMD has predicted clear weather in Delhi on Sunday, May 24. However, there is a possibility of heat wave in some areas. During the day, winds can blow at a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour. The maximum temperature can reach 44 to 46 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature on Sunday is expected to be 26 to 28 degrees.
