To promote tourism between India and Nepal, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched the first ‘Bharat Gaurav’ tourist train for Nepal. This special train named “Pashupatinath Nepal Darshan Yatra” will take passengers on a tour of major religious, cultural and natural tourist places of Nepal. This trip is great for those who want to see the beauty of Nepal closely and also want to have a spiritual experience.

When will the journey start?

This tour of IRCTC will start from Indore on June 24, 2026. After a train journey of approximately 38 to 42 hours, tourists will reach Raxaul in Bihar; From there they will cross the Nepal border and go to Chitwan, Pokhara and Kathmandu by road. During the journey, passengers will visit several major tourist and religious sites, including Chitwan National Park, Phewa Lake, Manakamana Temple and Pashupatinath Temple.

On July 1, passengers will be brought back from Kathmandu to Raxaul, from where Bharat Gaurav train will leave for Indore. On the return way, the train will pass through Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati, Sehore, Shujalpur and Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh and finally reach Indore on July 3. This package includes train travel, hotel stay, meals, local transport and sightseeing, so travelers don’t have to worry about making separate arrangements.

During this tour, tourists will be able to visit Nepal’s capital Kathmandu, Pokhara city, the famous Mankamana Temple and Chitwan National Park (which is famous for its wildlife). The main attraction of this tour is the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu – dedicated to Lord Shiva – and is visited by a large number of Indian pilgrims every year. Apart from this, passengers will also get a chance to ride the ropeway to reach Manakamana Temple. Passengers can board the train from Indore, Ujjain, Shujalpur, Sehore, Rani Kamlapati, Itarsi, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni and Satna stations.

In the Superior AC-1 category, the per person fare is ₹99,980 for single occupancy, ₹90,400 for double occupancy and ₹89,035 for triple occupancy; The fare for children aged 5 to 11 years is ₹84,025. In Deluxe AC-2 category, the per person fare is ₹86,130 for single occupancy, ₹76,550 for double occupancy and ₹75,185 for triple occupancy, while the fare for children is ₹70,175. In Comfort AC-3 category, the per person fare is ₹72,290 for single occupancy, ₹62,710 for double occupancy and ₹61,340 for triple occupancy, while the fare for children is ₹56,335.
