Alpha Box Office: The curiosity of the audience towards famous Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s upcoming film ‘Alpha’ is increasing rapidly. The film is the first women-centric action film in the YRF spy universe. Directed by Shiv Rawail, this film stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, while Sharvari will also be seen in action with her.
Will ‘Alpha’ be successful?
Bobby Deol is playing the role of Alia’s father in this film. However, even before the film’s release, trade experts have raised questions about its commercial success. Film trade expert Vishvek Chauhan has expressed concern over the release strategy of the film in Siddharth Kannan’s podcast.
‘Challenge of women-centric action film’
He said, ‘The timing of the release of the film does not seem right. It is releasing a week after ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and a week before ‘Dhamal 4’. There is no breathing space in between. According to Vishvek Chauhan, selling a female-centric action film in India is a tough task. He said that the problem is more about the timing of release than the content.
The biggest challenge of ‘Alpha’ is considered to be its release date. The film will be released in theaters on July 3, 2026. Due to it being released between big films in a row, it may be difficult to get enough screens and attention. Alia Bhatt will be seen in action avatar for the first time in this film. His pairing with Sharvari is also new.
After the release of the teaser of the film, there was a positive discussion about it on social media, but trade analysts are not confident about the release strategy. The trade world believes that if the film had got the right time, its profits could have been higher.
