Shoot photos and videos
The volume button acts as the shutter button for your phone’s camera. When you open the camera, you can easily take a photo by pressing the volume button. On Samsung Galaxy smartphones, shooting videos is also simple. When taking a selfie, it is more convenient to use the volume buttons.
control zoom
You can also control camera zoom using the volume buttons. This feature is exclusively available in Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Through apps like Open Camera, you can also control zoom, autofocus, and exposure.
Open camera on lock screen
Some smartphones have the option to open the camera while on the lock screen with the volume button. In phones like Redmi, you can activate the Double Press Volume Button feature. After this, you can open the camera by pressing the volume button twice.
silence the call
You can silence an incoming call by using the volume buttons. During a meeting or any important work, if the phone rings, you can silence it by pressing the volume button.

If you are in deep sleep and the alarm is ringing, pressing the volume button snoozes the alarm.

– Magnification feature or TalkBack which zooms the screen can be turned on immediately by pressing the volume button.

– You can perform different actions by pressing the buttons in different ways, such as lighting the flashlight or taking a screenshot.

– Many smartphones have the option to change the music track using the volume buttons.
– With this, you can change songs while listening to songs without taking the phone out of your pocket.
– If your phone does not have this feature, you can make a remote to change songs with the volume button by using the Skip Track feature.
