Every year in the month of Ashadha, Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is organized in Puri, Odisha, which is famous all over the world. Thousands of people from India and abroad come to Puri to see this grand Rath Yatra. In this journey, Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra are seated in three huge wooden chariots.

When is Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in 2026?

The Rath Yatra of Puri starts on the second day of Ashadh Shukla Paksha. On this day the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra are pulled towards the Gundicha temple. This date is 15th July at 11:50 A.M. Starting from 12:00 am till 8:52 am on 16th July. This journey ends with Bahuda i.e. return journey on Ashadh Shukla Dashami.


Jagannath Temple of Hauz Khas, Delhi

If you want to experience the Rath Yatra, then definitely visit the Jagannath Temple located in Hauz Khas, Delhi. The idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra are installed here. The temple is only 5 minutes away from Hauz Khas Metro Station, where you can reach by auto or rickshaw.

Shri Jagannath Temple of Thyagaraja Nagar

Shri Jagannath ji temple located near Tyagaraja Stadium in South Delhi is the oldest temple of Delhi NCR. It is only 1 kilometer away from INA Metro Station. Must visit here on 16th July.

Residents of Noida can visit Shri Jagannath Temple, which is located in Sector-34. To reach here, you can take the Blue Line metro to Noida Sector-34. The distance of the temple from the station is only 500 meters, which you can easily reach on foot or by e-rickshaw.

If you live in Gurugram, Jagannath Temple located in Sector-15 Part-2 is a great option. This temple is near HUDA Market Road and is quite famous among the devotees. IFFCO Chowk and Millennium City Center metro stations are most convenient to reach the temple.
