Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection Day 4: Thalapathy Vijay’s film Jana Nayagan has performed brilliantly at the box office. The film received immense support from the audience in the first weekend of its release, the impact of which was clearly seen on its earnings. There was a significant increase in the film’s earnings on the first Sunday and in four days it collected a gross of Rs 217.48 crore globally. With this, the film has entered the 200 crore club and made its place among the most successful Tamil films of 2026.
Net collection more than Rs 124 crore in India
According to preliminary data from trade website Sacnilk, Jana Nayagan earned around Rs 32 crore nett in India on the fourth day of its release i.e. Sunday. This is an increase of about 10.7 percent compared to Saturday’s Rs 28.90 crore. Thus, the total India net collection of the film has reached Rs 124.75 crore and India gross collection has reached Rs 145.98 crore. This first weekend performance is being considered extremely strong for the film.
Left behind the lifetime collection of many films
Due to the brilliant start, Jana Nayagan has left behind the lifetime collections of many Tamil films released this year. The film has overtaken Parasakthi (Rs 53 crore) and Love Insurance Kompany (Rs 43 crore). Not only this, it has also surpassed the domestic lifetime collections of films like Dragon (Rs 102 crore) and Sikandar (Rs 104 crore).
Highest earning from Tamil Nadu
In terms of state-wise earnings, Tamil Nadu proved to be the biggest market for the film, with a gross of Rs 22.50 crore on the fourth day. After this, gross collection of Rs 4.75 crore came from Karnataka, Rs 2.85 crore from Kerala and Rs 2.05 crore from Andhra Pradesh-Telangana. The film earned Rs 5.02 crore from other states of India, taking the total India gross collection on the fourth day to Rs 37.17 crore.
About Jana Nayagan
Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is said to be inspired by Balakrishna’s Telugu blockbuster Bhagavanth Kesari. The film stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, while Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamita Baiju also play important roles. Apart from this, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Narayan and Priyamani are also part of the film. The film was released in theaters on July 23 and the first weekend figures suggest that its earnings may remain even stronger in the coming days.
