Royal Enfield may soon launch its new adventure bike, Himalayan 440 in India. The company has not yet announced the official launch date, but it is expected that this bike will hit the market in September 2026. It will be based on the company's Scram 440 and will be placed above the Scram 440 but below the Himalayan 450 in Royal Enfield's lineup.
**Royal Enfield Himalayan 440: Powerful Engine**
The new Himalayan 440 is expected to be powered by a 443cc single-cylinder, air- and oil-cooled engine – the same engine found in the Scram 440. It will probably be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is expected to produce around 25.4PS of power and 34Nm of torque, giving the bike excellent low-end power.
**Suspension and Braking Features**
To ensure a comfortable ride, the bike is likely to have telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. For safety, it is expected to have disc brakes on both sides and dual-channel ABS. A switchable ABS feature may also be included at the rear.
**Adventure-Ready Features**
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is expected to have a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Like the Himalayan 450, it may have a TFT digital console, which may include features like turn-by-turn navigation and map mirroring.
**Expected Price**
Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is expected to be priced around ₹2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be an affordable option compared to Himalayan 450. It may appeal to those riders who are looking for an adventure bike with strong design, strong torque and traditional riding experience. Although it may have less electronic features, its main focus will be on off-road capability and strong performance.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750
Royal Enfield is also working on a larger adventure bike, the Himalayan 750. It is expected that it will be presented to the world at EICMA 2026. This bike can have a new 750cc air- and oil-cooled parallel-twin engine, which can give about 55PS of power and 60Nm of torque. It is expected to get new features like updated exhaust, new TFT console, smartphone connectivity, navigation, cruise control, multiple riding modes and new tubular chassis.
