IRCTC, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, has launched a new tour package named “Wonders of Odisha”. In this tour, you will get a chance to see the old temples of Bhubaneswar, Jagannath Temple of Puri, Chilka Lake, Sun Temple of Konark and famous Buddhist places of Odisha. This is a six-day trip and you can book this package for any day as per your convenience.
**The tour will start from Bhubaneswar**
On the first day, you will be picked up from Bhubaneswar Airport, Railway Station or Bus Stand and taken to the hotel. After storing your luggage, the tour to visit Bhubaneswar will begin. The first stop will be the Tribal Museum, followed by a visit to Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves. Tourists can have lunch at their convenience and expense. After lunch, the tour will visit the famous temples of Bhubaneswar, including Lingaraja, Mukteshwar, Brahmeshwar and Rajarani temples. You will have to stay at a hotel in Bhubaneswar at night.
**Journey from Dhauli to Puri**
On the second day, after breakfast the tour will start for Puri. The first stop on the way will be Dhauli Stupa. After this, the tour will reach Pipili, which is famous for its beautiful applique work (embroidery work on cloth). From there, the group will head to Raghurajpur village, famous for its traditional artists and handicrafts. After reaching Puri, you will check-in to your hotel. **Chilka Lake and Dolphin Thrill**
On day 3, after breakfast the tour will proceed towards Satpara area of Chilka Lake. Chilika is famous for its huge lake, migratory birds and Irrawaddy dolphins. Here, you will get a chance to enjoy a boat ride and watch birds and dolphins. Since dolphin sightings depend on weather and natural conditions, it is best to see it as an exciting experience amidst nature. Alarnath temple will also be seen on the way. After this, the group will return to Puri for overnight stay at the hotel. **Journey to Konark and Sun Temple**
On day 4, after check-out from hotel, the tour will proceed to Konark. The main attraction of the day will be Konark Sun Temple; Famous for its magnificent architecture and historical importance, this temple is an important part of the identity of Odisha. On the fifth day, the tour will focus on the famous Buddhist sites of Odisha. After breakfast, the itinerary includes Ratnagiri, Lalitgiri and Udayagiri – collectively known as the famous “Buddhist Diamond Triangle” of Odisha. Many archaeological artefacts related to Buddhism can be seen in Ratnagiri. Lalitgiri is counted among the ancient Buddhist centers of Odisha, while Udayagiri is known for its huge Buddhist complex. A visit to these places can be a unique experience for those interested in history and archaeology. The group will return to Bhubaneswar in the evening and stay at the hotel for the night.
**Back with memories**
On Day 6, after breakfast, guests will check-out from the hotel. After this, tourists will be dropped at Bhubaneswar Airport, Railway Station or Bus Stand, ending the tour.
