Miss World 2026 crown goes to Johari Mole Dominguez of Dominican Republic
Johari Mol Dominguez of the Dominican Republic won the title of Miss World 2026. The pageant was held in Nha Trang, Vietnam on Saturday, where last year's winner Opal Suchata Chuangsri crowned her. Spain's Elisabeth Reynes took the first runner up position, while Malaysia's Tanusia Chetty was the second runner up.

India's Nikita Porwal failed to make it to the top-20. Next year the Miss World pageant will be held in Tanzania. Joheri has been cited for her achievements as a 'dedicated teacher, community advocate and communicator'. The finale of Miss World 2025 was held on May 31 last year in Hyderabad, in which contestants from 108 countries participated. Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri won the title, while Ethiopia's Hasset Derze was the first runner-up. Maja Klajda of Poland was the second runner-up and Orélie Joachim of Martinique was the third runner-up.
History of Miss World Contest
In 1951, English TV host Eric Morley organized a bikini contest, the purpose of which was to attract a crowd. This competition was the first of its kind, in which 27 models came to walk the ramp in bikinis. She was named Miss World by the foreign media. Sweden's Kirsten Margaretha aka Kiki Håkansson became the first winner to wear a bikini during the crowning.
