For this you need:
- Mawa – 250 grams
- Powdered sugar – as per taste

- Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Finely chopped dry fruits – a few
- Ghee – as per need

First prepare the modak mixture
Put mawa in a pan and fry it lightly on low to medium flame. When mawa starts becoming soft and aromatic, turn off the gas.
Now add powdered sugar, milk powder, cardamom powder and finely chopped dry fruits and mix well.
Let the mixture cool for some time. Be careful not to try to shape it by hand while it is still very hot.
Now give special shape of modak
When the mixture cools down enough to be easily handled with hands, apply some ghee on the palms.
Now make small balls of the mixture and place them in the modak mould. Press the mold lightly and take out the modak.
If you do not have a modak mould, then the traditional shape of modak can be given with the help of hands.
