Located in Tonk district of Rajasthan Bisalpur Dam has created a new record in its 22 year history. This is the first time that the situation has arisen to open the gates of the dam in the month of December. Usually water is withdrawn from the dam only during monsoon, but this time due to the water level remaining high for a long time, the gates remained open even in December.

The construction of Bisalpur Dam was completed in the year 1999. Since then, the gates of the dam have been opened several times, but this is the first time that the gates have been opened in the month of December.
This record is also considered special because the effect of monsoon ends by December in Rajasthan and the inflow of water into the dams generally reduces.
