There is a constant demand for motorcycles with modern-retro design in the Indian two-wheeler market. In this segment, TVS Ronin is known for its different style and features. Now the company has introduced a new Base Plus variant of the bike. The biggest change in the new model has been made regarding safety features, while its look has also been updated through new color options.
Dual-channel ABS is now standard on the new Ronin. Along with this, new color shades have also been added. The company has not made any major mechanical changes in the engine of the bike. In such a situation, this model can attract those customers who want a motorcycle with modern features along with retro design.
Dual-channel ABS becomes a big update
The most important change in TVS Ronin Base Plus has been made in the braking system. The company has given dual-channel ABS instead of single-channel ABS in the new variant.
Dual-channel ABS helps in better controlling braking on both wheels in case of sudden braking. Especially on wet or slippery roads, this feature can be useful in giving better braking control to the rider.
With this update, the new variant of Ronin has become a better package in terms of safety than before.
Look changed with two new colors
The new TVS Ronin Base Plus has been introduced with two new color options. These include shades like Sunlit Yellow and Desert Mirage/Desert Beige.
The dual-tone finish and graphics along with the new colors give the bike a modern-retro look. Its design has been prepared keeping in mind those customers who like classic style along with a little sporty touch.

No change in 225.9cc engine
The company has not made any major changes in the mechanical setup of the new bike. Like before, it has a 225.9cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine.
This engine produces maximum power of 20.4 PS and torque of 19.93 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, which also has assist and slipper clutch.
This setup can be used for daily use in the city as well as for highway riding. Slipper clutch helps in making riding more comfortable during gear downshifts.
Many options are also available in features
Connected features are provided with digital instrument console in TVS Ronin. With the help of Bluetooth connectivity, the rider gets the facility to use many features related to the smartphone.
The bike has been prepared for everyday riding by combining modern-retro design, connected features and better safety package.
TVS Ronin Base Plus price
The company has kept the starting ex-showroom price of the new TVS Ronin Base Plus variant at ₹ 1,42,490.
After getting dual-channel ABS and new color options, this variant has become an important option in the Ronin lineup. However, on-road prices may vary depending on city, RTO and expenses like insurance.
Which bikes will compete with?
TVS Ronin competes mainly with motorcycles like Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Kawasaki W175 in the Indian market. Ronin focuses on customers who want a classic or retro design with modern features and easy riding for everyday use.
The addition of dual-channel ABS and new colors in the new Base Plus variant has made the package of the bike more attractive than before. At the same time, its 225.9cc engine and 5-speed gearbox make it suitable for both city and long distance riding.
