The company has introduced a new benefit related to OTT for JioHome users. Now customers using select plans of JioHome will not need to subscribe to Amazon Prime Lite separately. The company is offering 12 months of free Amazon Prime Lite membership with the 3-in-1 JioHome plan of 30 Mbps and 100 Mbps.
The special thing about this offer is that its benefits will be available to new customers as well as existing JioHome users. This facility is part of the special benefits offered on the occasion of Jio's 10th anniversary.
Which customers will get free Prime Lite?
This offer is applicable on 30 Mbps and 100 Mbps 3-in-1 JioHome plans. In these plans, users get facilities related to Wi-Fi, TV and OTT through a single connection.
Eligible customers will be given 12 months Prime Lite Membership. For this, no additional fee will be charged apart from the existing JioHome plan fee.
These benefits will be available in Amazon Prime Lite
Once Prime Lite Membership is activated, users will be able to enjoy movies and web shows available on Prime Video. Apart from this, facilities like free and fast delivery will also be available for eligible orders on Amazon.
That is, this benefit also includes the facility related to Amazon's shopping delivery along with OTT content.
How to activate free membership from MyJio App?
To avail the benefits of Prime Lite, users will have to open MyJio App from their JioHome account.
after this:
1. Go to Home Page in MyJio App.
2. When the Claim Banner related to Amazon Prime Lite appears, tap on it.
3. Complete the instructions on the screen.
4. After completion of the process, Prime Lite Membership can be activated.
It is worth noting that the 12 month period will not start from the date of announcement or rollout of the offer, but from the day membership is activated.
Rollout of offer started from 19th September
Jio has started the rollout of this new benefit from September 19. According to the company, this facility will be extended to all eligible JioHome customers in a phased manner and it may take up to two weeks.
Because of this, it is not necessary that the Claim Banner appears on the same day in the MyJio App of all eligible users.
What are the rules for Rs 888 and Rs 1,199 plan users?
There is no change in the existing benefits of JioHome plans of Rs 888 and Rs 1,199 as well as for users with 150 Mbps speed or more.
These customers will continue to get the benefit of 24 months of Amazon Prime Lite Membership as before.
