New Delhi. Former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has achieved an amazing feat in the first ODI match against West Indies. He has set a new record by becoming the second batsman to score 15,000 runs in ODI cricket. This achievement comes after Sachin Tendulkar, who had earlier crossed the milestone. Sunday (27 September) became an important date in the history of cricket.
Kohli achieved this record in the fewest innings, making it a world record. Everyone was eagerly waiting for this match, in which both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli returned. Rohit Sharma was out after scoring 32 runs, while Kohli crossed the 15000 run mark. He needed 59 runs to achieve this feat, which he accomplished in 47 balls.

Sachin Tendulkar played 463 ODI matches between 1989 and 2012 and scored a total of 18426 runs. This was Kohli's 315th ODI match, in which he crossed the 15,000-run mark in the lowest number of innings. In the 29th over of India's innings, Kohli achieved the feat by scoring 57 runs in 46 balls.
Sachin Tendulkar is at first place in the list of batsmen who have scored the most runs in ODI cricket, while Virat Kohli is now at second place. After this comes the name of Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka, who scored 14,234 runs in his career.
