New Delhi, September 28 (IANS). Father of Green Revolution in India and Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S. On the death anniversary of Swaminathan, many leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta paid tribute.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote in a social media post, “Humble tribute to the father of Green Revolution in India and Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S. Swaminathan on his death anniversary.”
Keshav Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, wrote in the ' His life will continue to inspire the coming generations for the resolve of 'agricultural innovation, welfare of farmers and self-reliant India'.”
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak wrote in a social media post, “Hundreds of thousands of salutes to Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, the pioneer of Green Revolution, the first agricultural scientist who gave a new direction to the Indian agricultural sector and the great agricultural scientist who was awarded Padma Vibhushan, on his death anniversary.”
Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Rajendra Shukla wrote, “Humble tribute to the great agricultural scientist, father of the Green Revolution, Bharat Ratna decorated Dr. M.S. Swaminath ji on his death anniversary… As a result of his visionary efforts in the interest of Annadata farmers, today India has established a strong identity in the field of agriculture. His research and innovations in the interest of agriculture will always be remembered.”
Madhya Pradesh Government Minister Vishwas Sarang wrote on social media, “I pay my humble tribute to the father of the Green Revolution in India, the great agricultural scientist, 'Bharat Ratna' Dr. M.S. Swaminathan on his death anniversary.”
Bihar government minister Vijay Kumar Sinha posted on 'X' and wrote, “Heartfelt tribute to Bharat Ratna, renowned agricultural scientist, geneticist and father of the Green Revolution, Dr. M.S. Swaminathan on his death anniversary.”
Chhattisgarh Government Minister Kedar Kashyap wrote in a social media post, “Respectful tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, the father of the Green Revolution, who laid the foundation of modern and progressive agriculture in India on his death anniversary. His unique contribution in giving a new direction to Indian agriculture and strengthening the food security of the country will always be remembered.”
Delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa wrote on social media, “Respectful tribute to Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, the great scientist and Bharat Ratna who showed India the path to food self-reliance by empowering Annadata, on his death anniversary. Through agricultural research and innovation, he made an important contribution in getting India out of the food crisis and moving towards self-reliance. His dedication and contribution towards agriculture, farmers and the nation will always be remembered.”
