Renault Triber has long been known for its space and practical design, but questions have been raised about the power of its old engine. Now the company has tried to overcome this shortcoming with Triber Turbo. The new car has a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine, which generates power of 100PS and torque of 180Nm.
However, the company has not just made changes in the engine. Changes have also been made to the car's structure, suspension and driving dynamics to better handle the power.
How much is the impact of 100PS and 180Nm felt?
While driving the new Triber Turbo, its additional torque is felt first. Due to availability of 180Nm torque, acceleration feels better than before and the car has to work less hard to gain speed.
Currently, it has the option of 5-speed manual gearbox. The setup of the gearbox is easy for normal driving and the extra power of the engine can also be used easily.

A car like the Triber often has extra load on the engine with more passengers and luggage. The specialty of turbo engine is more visible in such circumstances. The car doesn't have much trouble maintaining speed even with a lot of passengers on the highway.

Mileage and automatic gearbox
The claimed mileage of the Triber Turbo is 21 kmpl. Mileage may vary under actual conditions depending on driving style, traffic and road conditions. Under certain circumstances, a mileage of around 13-14 kmpl is expected.
Currently, automatic gearbox is not available with the Turbo model. According to the company, automatic option may be introduced in future.
Changes made in the structure also
To suit the more powerful engine, Renault has also made changes in the structure of the car. Triber Turbo is based on the RGMP platform and has received several structural updates. These changes also increase the possibility of incorporating different powertrains in the future.
