We spoke to Dr Anjali Phatak, dietitian and director of NutriPlus, about microgreens. Let us know how they can be included in your diet and what are the benefits of their consumption.
What are microgreens?
“Microgreens are a new concept. We usually eat red greens, fenugreek, and spinach when they are well grown. But microgreens are clusters of tiny leaves that are harvested within 7 to 21 days. They are not allowed to fully develop. For example, baby corn has high nutritional value. Similarly, small leaves of green vegetables are also microgreens.” – Dietician Anjali Phatak
