CJP hits back at PM Modi's statement, spokesperson Saurav Das accuses him of dividing the youth

Youth Politics: Addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15, Prime Minister Modi had said that armed Naxalism is now on its way to end, but the country also needs to be cautious of such 'mindless Naxal' thinking, which tries to mislead the youth and create unrest in the society. The Prime Minister stressed on identifying such elements and isolating them and connecting the youth with the mainstream.

Responding to this statement of PM, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said that questioning the government or raising voice for one's rights and demands does not make any youth a Naxalite. He alleged that the government is trying to suppress the voice of dissent through words like 'mindless Naxal'.

Accusing the Center of ignoring the problems of the youth, Das said that the youth are constantly raising questions regarding employment, education and other basic issues in the country. He claims that the ruling party is trying to create division among the youth by creating a narrative like 'Your Gen-Z versus our Gen-Z'.

The CJP leader also claimed in his statement that people in different parts of the country are raising their demands peacefully. Describing it as the voice of democratic dissent, he said that now a kind of 'Jantar Mantar' seems to be getting ready in every district, where people are questioning the policies and functioning of the government.

After the Prime Minister's statement and CJP's counterattack, this issue has become the new center of political debate. On one hand, the government is calling the 'mindless Naxal' thinking a threat to the social and youth power of the country, while opposition voices are calling it a political term to suppress dissent. Political rhetoric regarding this statement is likely to intensify in the coming days.
