Cockroach Janata Party Next Step: After the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the end of the ongoing student movement at Jantar Mantar, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced the strategy for its next phase. Party chief spokesperson Saurav Das said that the current movement was only the beginning and now the organization will connect with the youth across the country and raise their issues at the national level.

‘Will go across the country, listen to the voices of the youth&8217;

Saurav Das said, ‘This is just a trailer, the real film is yet to come. The youth of the country have now awakened and only they will solve the problems of the country. Our journey as a movement and as an organization is not going to end here.”

He told that CJP will now go to different states and directly communicate with the youth, listen to their problems and prepare policy suggestions on the basis of them. Besides, the demand for accountability from the government and system will also continue.

Preparation for national level campaign

According to the Chief Spokesperson, CJP will no longer be limited to only NEET or examination system. The organization also plans to raise other youth-related issues at the national level. Under this, public relations campaigns, dialogue programs and peaceful protests will be organized in different states.

The movement ended after three rounds of talks with the government

Earlier on Saturday, the third round of talks took place between the representatives of the government and the CJP. After the meeting, the organization announced to end the agitation that had been going on for several days at Jantar Mantar.

National spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said that the organization had three major demands, the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Withdrawal of all FIRs and legal cases registered against protesters and organizers. ₹1 crore compensation to families of students who lost their lives after NEET controversy.

What assurance did the government give?

According to CJP, their first demand has been fulfilled with the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. The government has assured to review the cases registered against the protesters and withdraw them. Saurav Das said that the government has assured the organization that details of FIRs registered in BJP ruled and allied states including Delhi will be shared. According to him, about 15–20 FIRs are known to have been registered in Delhi and the government has assured to provide their copies within three to four days and start the process of withdrawal of cases.

Saurav Das said, ‘Cockroach Janata Party is withdrawing its movement with good intentions. We hope that the government will implement all the agreed points within the stipulated time frame. If this happens, it will be a positive step for both the youth and the democratic dialogue.” However, he also clarified that if future assurances are not fulfilled on time, the organization will consider further strategies.
