CJP Protest Gains Political Colour: Arvind Kejriwal to Meet Sonam Wangchuk Today at 5 pm
New Delhi: The ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar has taken on a stronger political tone with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal scheduled to meet activist Sonam Wangchuk today.
Wangchuk, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination, has drawn increasing support from political leaders, activists and public figures.

Security Tightened at Jantar Mantar
According to reports, security arrangements have been strengthened around Jantar Mantar ahead of Kejriwal’s visit. The meeting is expected to take place amid growing crowds and heightened media attention surrounding the protest.
Kejriwal Extends Support
Earlier this week, Kejriwal publicly extended AAP’s support to the agitation and appealed to Wangchuk to end his fast. He had announced that he would personally visit the protest site on July 16.
Protest Draws Wider Opposition Backing
The CJP protest has increasingly become a platform for broader opposition mobilization. Leaders such as Akhilesh Yadav and other opposition figures have expressed solidarity with Wangchuk, while comedian Kunal Kamra and Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad also joined the demonstration recently.

Health Concerns Over Hunger Strike
Wangchuk’s fast has entered its nineteenth day, raising concerns about his health. The Delhi High Court has directed authorities to conduct daily medical check-ups and provide necessary intervention whenever required.
