CJP rejected proposal to change ministry before Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, sources claim

Tezzbuzz Desk– During the ongoing agitation at Jantar Mantar regarding the paper leak issue, several rounds of talks were held between the Central Government and the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). Now quoting sources it has been claimed that before the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the government had proposed to change his ministry, but the CJP refused to accept it.

According to sources, the responsibility for talks with the protesters was entrusted to Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh by the Central Government. A total of three rounds of talks took place between the two sides. During the talks, it was suggested by the government that Dharmendra Pradhan’s ministry could be changed. The negotiators argued that it is the prerogative of the Prime Minister to remove a minister or change his department. However, the CJP made it clear that it will not just stick to the change of ministry but will stick to the demand for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.

It is being told that Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his post shortly before the start of the third round of meeting. In the meeting held after this, it was agreed to end the movement. After the resignation, the responsibility of the Education Ministry was handed over to Prahlad Joshi.

The three major demands of the CJP included the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, withdrawal of cases registered against the protesters and compensation of Rs 1 crore each to the families of the students who committed suicide in the NEET paper leak episode. After the second round of talks, CJP had claimed that the government had agreed in principle to its two demands, but no consensus could be reached regarding the resignation of the Education Minister.

In the nearly two-hour meeting held at Vithalbhai Patel Bhavan, CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka put forward their demands before the government. The organization had clearly said that if the demand for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation was not accepted, the movement would be expanded further. At the same time, it was said from the government side that further reply will be given after considering the demands. Meanwhile, the Central Government also approved the draft of a bill providing for strict punishment in paper leak cases. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also announced to bring a law in this regard in Parliament.

Apart from this, CJP also demanded a public apology from the Central Government, Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Delhi Police regarding the alleged police action during the July 20 protest. The organization alleges that force was used against the protesting students, for which action should be taken against the officials responsible.
