CJP’s question on PM Modi’s fast track court announcement, said – stop paper leaks, punishment alone will not solve the problem.

New Delhi, 23 July. Amid the NEET-UG paper leak controversy, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has raised questions on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of creating fast track courts and getting the culprits punished soon. The party says that merely making the provision of punishment will not provide a permanent solution to the problem, but the system will have to be improved by reaching the root of paper leaks. CJP national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said that the real question is not what punishment will be given to the culprits, but why the papers are being leaked again and again. They allege that such incidents happen due to lack of accountability and corruption in the system.

Ranka said, “You have talked about healing the injury, whereas our fight is about why the injury is happening at all.” He said that unless responsibility is fixed, fear of law is not created among the culprits and the examination system is not strengthened, incidents like paper leaks are not going to stop. He alleged that the paper leak happens through an organized network, in which people at many levels have a role. Therefore, instead of just taking action, there is a need to reform the entire system which gives rise to such incidents.

CJP reiterated that the agitation will continue till the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The party says that the solution is not possible without fixing the responsibility for improving the education system. Meanwhile, the students protesting at Jantar Mantar also reacted to the Prime Minister’s statement. The protesters say that the government should listen to the students and take concrete action on their demands instead of just making announcements on social media.

Some students said that they are protesting peacefully and want the government to find a solution through talks. Some protesters also demanded an investigation into the police action and alleged misbehavior with students during the Parliament march. The protesters say that the accountability of the Education Minister should be fixed and only the announcement of fast track court will not solve their concerns.
