Clerk of Disa Railway caught taking bribe of Rs.500 in the name of Tatkal ticket

According to the details, an alert citizen went to Disa railway station to book an instant ticket to Delhi. Meanwhile, Sureshkumar Ramuji Solanki (Chief Booking Clerk Class-3, Disa Railway Station) is alleged to have demanded a bribe of Rs.500 from the complainant in exchange for immediate reservation. In order not to pay the bribe, the complainant contacted ACB’s toll-free number 1064 and lodged a complaint at Banaskantha ACB Police Station, Palanpur. As soon as the accused demanded a bribe of Rs.500 from the complainant and accepted it, the ACB team arrested him on the spot. A bribe amount of Rs.500 was recovered from the accused. The whole procedure was done at the booking office of Disa railway station. The trap operation was conducted by Police Inspector L.S. Chowdhury and staff conducted it.
